The BIL Group work with many different industries including transport/logistics, Aerospace, Automotive and Food manufacturing to name a few. Some of the industries we serve have fortunately thrived over the past two years and some have understandably struggled. Our ethos is to always remain positive even in the face of adversity and by following this value we have invested heavily in our own machinery, production and stock capabilities to support all of the industries we serve, no matter what their current position.

During the pandemic, we have kept in regular contact with our customers, within both thriving and struggling industries reinforcing our dedication of support to them. We have already noticed industries beginning to bounce back and we believe that with customers and suppliers working in cohesion this can continue into the future.

At BIL, we feel it is imperative we play our own part in helping all our customers, ensuring we remain in a positive position to react to customers changing needs as their own situation changes for the better. This is one of the key reasons we have invested so heavily in our own operations.

At the BIL Group, we are constantly evolving to an ever-changing marketplace. Our customers’ needs form the backbone of what we provide from our product and service offering and this is backed up through our innovative and flexible approach. New product lines come as a result of our discussions both in house and with our customers who in fact, we often refer to as partners.

Into next year we plan to be offering our customers within the brewery industry an extended range of dray equipment alongside our current range of AluTruk sack trucks. We are also working on a range of bespoke mobile moving systems which will be suitable for a vast range of industries.

As well as being one of the UK’s largest stockists of Castors, Wheels and Material Handling Equipment we have our BIL Equipment division, a manufacturing site with full welding, forming, bending and machining capabilities so the possibilities are endless for new product lines. Our aim is to work with our customers to find a solution to their needs, whether that be off the shelf or a bespoke solution.

We are always looking at the industries we serve, keeping up to date with market trends and speaking regularly with our customer base regarding changes in requirements and adapting and adding to our product mix where necessary.

At BIL, we are constantly considering initiatives to develop sustainability across the business whether this be environmental, human / social or economically valued. We constantly promote the values of our organisation to our partners and feel a responsibility to continue to do so in the future. We plan to continue investment in our production capabilities to ensure we are responsive and efficient within the industries we serve.

We encourage openness with our employees, operating an open door policy at the senior management level to promote in house communication. With the way world communication has changed in a more digital capacity, we feel that the personal element of communication should be maintained and we always encourage our employees to speak up, raise concerns and communicate with us as this helps us to ultimately improve as a business and grow.

In 2022 we will be reviewing our environmental impact exploring further initiatives where we can increase recycling within the business and also further investigation into more sustainable ways of packaging for despatch. As an example, we have already partnered with a sustainability-focused organisation to provide recyclable pallets for certain BIL product lines.

Sustainability as a trend, is a major focal point in the current climate and being able to adapt to meet these needs through general practice and gaining the correct accreditation is vitally important, not only maintain the trust of your partners but also ensure your own operation is performing to the expected level. With so many changes within the industries, we serve it is vitally important that the needs of quality are met and sustained. At BIL we operate to ISO 9001:2015 standards and ensure that we never deviate away from the processes we implement across the group.

The expectation of service between supplier and customer has never been more important and we believe this is something that will continue to be a key aspect of relationships across the next few years. Our high investments are just a part of the way we want to shape ourselves and continue to support our customers.
