We remain very optimistic about 2022, and beyond. The past 12-18 months has created many new challenges, but equally, it has brought us opportunity and growth through new customers and sectors.

2022 will undoubtedly bring new challenges and obstacles, but we believe that investment and confidence is returning, which in turn will deliver more logistics and warehousing projects within the industry.  In line with government guidance, we are anticipating the UK economy to return to its pre-pandemic level in Q1 2022 with GDP rising to 5.1%, assuming that the government's roadmap out of lockdown continues.

It is anticipated that consumer spending will play a large factor in this.  In terms of our own outlook at Troax, we are seeing a similar picture from our order book and customer feedback. We are already seeing a significant increase in order intake for early 2022, despite some projects being postponed until 2023 as a result of material shortages and availability. We are looking forward to 2022, where we hope to increase our market share across our range of products and services in the sectors we operate.

We are proud of our Brand and position within the marketplace. Coming out of the pandemic, our main focus is to develop great partnerships with key customers, old and new. Having recently been appointed as Managing Director, I have been rebuilding our sales force over the past 12 months to increase our activity in the market, in terms of customer focus and marketing. We are hungry, passionate and customer-focused! We have plans for some new marketing activity in 2022 to re-engage with our customers and key stakeholders.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the IMHX show!

Our ambition is always to run operations in a responsible way and to promote sustainable development. We work to reduce the environmental impact of the business, to ensure good working conditions in the workplace and maintain good business ethics.

Troax has worked with sustainability matters for many years and has integrated these as a natural part of Troax’s business, partly through the introduction of different kinds of policies within the area of sustainability and partly through the enforcement of active environmental work in accordance with ISO 14001.  Our ISO 14001 and 9001 certifications which is something we are very proud of.

Some steps we are taking next year is to continue moving our fleet of company cars over to hybrid/electric vehicles and introducing charging points in both our UK locations.

We have also invested in a new Powder Coat Paint machine for 2022, which will reduce our energy consumption and improve efficiencies and reliability.

We believe in delivering quality and having the correct procedures and processes in place to ensure we manufacture and deliver on time, in full.  This is something we are continuously pushing ourselves to execute.  In doing so, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint, improve our customer service and avoid making additional deliveries and creating unnecessary waste.

We are fortunate to be involved in many different sectors.  Online retail has accelerated aggressively during the pandemic and has fundamentally changed consumer behaviours. This in turn will drive more automated warehousing and robotics solutions to improve availability, whilst addressing challenges around labour and logistics.

In addition, we believe the food, hygiene and pharmaceuticals sectors will continue to grow as we look to become more self-sufficient through deglobalisation.

EV and Battery production will also play a huge part in logistics and reducing our overall impact on the environment.
