Hi - Joel Martin here...

I’ve been commercial lead on IMHX going back nearly 20 years, my first show being in 2007. My role is to offer current and new exhibitors stand and sponsorship options and to offer any additional assistance requested regarding the show. I also keep up to speed with what's going on in the wider materials handling sector, and share my findings in a regular LinkedIn article 'Facts on Friday'.

I run a lot (over 40km a week!) and love Arsenal, music, keeping Koi and being dad to Joe. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi there - I'm Laura Denne.

I've nearly 20 years' experience in the publishing and events sector, starting in advertising sales for a dental magazine before transitioning to event management. My passion for travel has shaped a globe-trotting career, working on events across the US, the Middle East, and now Birmingham for IMHX2025!

What's my favourite thing about events? Well, aside from the travel, I love to create dynamic exhibition spaces, enriching them with experiential features and engaging networking events that bring people and ideas together in exciting ways.

Over two decades in the events industry, I've learned that success is about more than just sales targets. As Group Head of Sales at Informa, I'm passionate about creating tailored solutions that truly meet clients' needs.

I thrive on leading teams, getting to grips with complex challenges and delivering memorable event experiences. My work is about building meaningful connections and finding innovative approaches that make a real difference to our customers.

When I'm not in the office, or out and about at various shows, I recharge by spending time with family and friends... there's nothing better.


Chris Morley

Group Director

Hello! Chris Morley here.

As Group Director, my role is overseeing IMHX and a portfolio of industrial events, to shape the strategic vision and manage our growth in future editions. While the world of land-based materials handling is relatively new to me, I've spent the last 12 years creating award-winning international maritime events which has given me a deep understanding of cargo logistics and transportation dynamics.

As an experienced communications and events professional, I'm excited to be now exploring the intralogistics market. In particular, I’m looking forward to connecting with the innovative suppliers, experts, buyers and influencers who are driving this incredibly vibrant industry forward.

Outside of family life, music is central to my R&R time... and I can still be found playing live with various bands.
